Position Profile: The Clinical Nurse Manager coordinates the services, operations and resources of the unit to effectively respond to our health service’s requirements and the needs of the local population, ensuring the provision of a defined range of effective clinical and medical services within agreed budget, volume, and quality benchmarks. The Clinical Nurse Manager has direct responsibility for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions, and delivering outcomes consistent with services and organisational imperatives and targets.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated current experience in managing human, financial and physical resources within the nursing division of a health care unit.
- Demonstrated advanced range of clinical skills and experience relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and in particular facilitate complex change management processes.
- Sound understanding of current issues in the public sector health system, including regional/rural service issues.
- Well developed conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills, including the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex and sensitive problems.
