Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technicians – Commercial (Philippines Applicants Encouraged)

About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Installers and Refrigeration Technicians to join our growing team in tropical Cairns, Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified tradespeople based in the Philippines who are looking to apply their technical skills in Australia with a reputable and professional company.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and cool/freezer rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Installations of all types of air conditioners, commission, and maintain all types of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently and safely
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance and performance testing
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian standards and company procedures
• Maintain accurate service records and report on completed work
• Work both independently and as part of a skilled technical team

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in air conditioning and refrigeration installations, servicing, and repair
• Proven experience with commercial systems (not just residential)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Relevant trade qualification (TESDA NCII or equivalent certificate required)
• Good English communication and reporting skills
• Physically fit and safety-conscious
• Must be willing to relocate to Australia (visa sponsorship or skilled worker pathways may be available for the right candidates)

Desirable

• Experience working to international standards (e.g., Australian, NZ, or Middle Eastern projects)
• Knowledge of inverter technology, VRF/VRV systems, and electronic control systems
• Valid driver’s licence
