About the Role
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will oversee the delivery of clinical pharmacy advice and services to clients and staff of our client hospital on a rotational basis, with a strong focus on customer-oriented continuous quality improvement.
Duties will include the delivery of ward-based clinical pharmacy services, including dispensing, compounding, and counselling, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and safe drug distribution. You will also provide culturally appropriate medicines information, supervise and support interns, students, and technical staff, and contribute to professional development through training and education.
In addition, you will participate in clinical rotations, after-hours rosters, and service evaluations to maintain compliance with safety standards. A commitment to continuous quality improvement, workplace safety, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy services is essential.
About You
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy
Registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience
Previous hospital pharmacy experience or post-graduate clinical qualification desirable
Strong knowledge and practice in clinical pharmacy
Ability to support workplace improvements and engage in ongoing professional development for self and staff
Initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Flexibility, commitment, and capacity to build effective working relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Awareness of Indigenous culture and ability to work effectively with the people from diverse backgrounds
Preferred but not essential:
Recent experience from within Australia/New Zealand as a pharmacist
Completed relevant tertiary education in Pharmacy from these countries: New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia
