About the Role:
As a Cook in our company, you will be reporting to the Chef in Kitchen and Head Chef and responsible for effectively assist in the kitchen operations to effectively delivering a high-quality service to our customers. The key responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Zeus Street Greek's recipes and standards.
Ensuring that all food is cooked properly and served in timely manner and that is presented correctly.
Responsible for food portion control, wastage management and stock purchase (receipt and storage)
Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality dishes promptly.
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
Able to handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools effectively and as per requirements
Ensure consistent and smooth running of food preparation and assisting the Chefs in Kitchen
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
Adherence and awareness of Australian food & safety health standards & codes of practice
About You
Successful candidates will have the following.
Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2.5-year experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
