Position: Executive Chef

About the Role:
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service. This is a key leadership role involving menu creation, kitchen management, and the training and development of kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
Develop creative and innovative menus in line with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
Manage kitchen budgets, including inventory, procurement, and cost control.
Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to maintain high service standards.
Stay updated on culinary trends and implement new techniques as appropriate.
Requirements:
At least a certificate IV in commercial cookery or above
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an Execuitive Chef or in leading a kitchen team.
Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation.
Certifications in Food Safety and Hygiene are preferred.

A valid English language certificate is needed, with an overall IELTS score of at least 5.5 and no individual section scoring less than 5.0.
Depending on where you are placed or your nationality, you may need to complete a skill assessment from either TRA or VETASSESS, the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities.
