They’re seeking a capable and steady Head Chef (or an experienced Senior Sous ready to step up) to take full ownership of the kitchen and guide a close-knit, positive team.
The Opportunity
You will have full responsibility for all aspects of kitchen operations — trusted to bring consistency, structure, and leadership to an already solid foundation.
Key responsibilities include:
Day-to-day kitchen management
Rostering, ordering, and stock control
Hiring, training, and performance management
Menu development and costing (with support always available)
Cleanliness, food safety, and compliance standards
Implementing clear systems and communication
You’ll collaborate with the Executive Chef and ownership team while maintaining full operational control to shape systems and culture.
Ideal Candidate
Experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous ready to step up
Strong leader with proven organisational and communication skills
Confident across rostering, ordering, costing, and team management
Background in Japanese, fusion, café/brunch, or modern Australian kitchens
Comfortable balancing structure with creativity
Eligible to work in Australia (sponsorship considered for suitable candidates ready to commence)
