About the Role:
Our client is currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team at a busy meat processing facility in Perth. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on processing machinery and related eq
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to maintain optimal production output.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within meat processing, food manufacturing, or FMCG industries.
• Solid mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding/fabrication skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work on a rotating roster or respond to breakdowns as needed.
