About the Role

We're a friendly, community-focused medical practice in Botany, NSW, seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team.
You'll play a key role in supporting our doctors and patients, providing high-quality nursing care, and contributing to the smooth running of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Wound care and dressings (burns, chronic, complex, post-surgical)
• Administering immunisations (childhood, adult, catch-up, COVID, and travel)
• Baby checks and maintaining childhood blue books
• Ear syringing and various injections (contraceptive depot, B12, iron, antibiotics, etc.)
• Assisting with emergencies (use of adrenaline)
• Using Best Practice software
• Stock control and assisting with minor procedures
• Suture removal, triage, and health assessments
• Managing recalls and reminders
• Supporting accreditation processes and infection control standards
• Using PENCAT, POLAR, eHealth, and PIP QI for quality improvement
• Reception support when required (answering phones, booking patients, end-of-day duties)

About You

• Female Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• This position requires a female nurse due to legitimate occupational requirements
• Minimum 1 year of general practice experience (required)
• Experience must be gained in any general practice clinic setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well-presented, organised, and able to multitask
• Evidence of vaccination/immunity status
• Willing to assist with reception tasks when needed
• Motivated to learn and grow your skills

Desirable (but not essential)

• Immunisation Certificate for Registered Nurses (or willingness to complete 3-month course)
• Cervical Screening Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Suturing Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
