Berry North is a family owned business that specialises in the production of blueberries. Our blueberry orchards are located near Atherton and Dimbulah, FNQ. We operate a blueberry packing facility at our Atherton farm.

About the role

This role is responsible for the operation of farm machinery to grow our blueberry crop at our Atherton farm. This position is a hands-on, outdoor role with the primary aim of achieving great production results!

Key Duties

• General farming operations as instructed
• Operating and maintaining a range of farm machinery
• Operation, maintenance and repairs to irrigation and fertigation systems
• Inspecting and minor servicing of farm machinery
• Application of fertilizer and chemicals to the crop

Qualifications & experience

• Chem-cert certificate
• Forklift licence
• Minimum 2+ years of any farm work experience required
• Good problem solving skills
• General fabrication skills including cutting and welding
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Organised and efficient
• Good Mechanical aptitude and experience
• Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates
