Role: Experienced Chef needed to join our busy kitchen on a full-time basis
Salary: $73,500 - $80,000 + Superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities of a Chef:
- Planning and preparing extensive menus along with consolidation with the Head Chef
- Prioritize dietary requirement in menu planning
- Estimate food requirements, proportioning of food and proper presentation as per the guidelines
- Monitor the quality and quantity of the food prepared Gathering and monitoring kitchen stocks and quality maintenance of perishable items
- Converse with managers, supervisors, dietary specialists, and other kitchen staffs about the operational and food preparation problems
- Delegate tasks to other staff in the kitchen
- Assist in hiring along with training other cooks and staff
- Manage the inventory of stock and place order when necessary in order to maintain the supply of stock
- Ensure obedience to the applicable health and safety regulations within the kitchen
Annual Leave: 4 weeks
Working Hours: 38 hours / per week
Work experience: At least 2-3 years of experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment will be preferred.
Education/Skills: Relevant Qualification (Cert 4 or Higher) or 2-3 years full time experience
