LiSEC Technician
About the Role
The Lisec Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of Lisec machinery. This position ensures that all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The primary focus is on identifying and eliminating the root causes of operational failures and enhancing equipment performance.
This role is part of the Maintenance Division and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Work, Health, Safety, and Environment
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments on production processes and equipment.
Process Management
- Oversee Lisec project installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on both manual and automated systems.
- Improve equipment reliability and support ongoing enhancement projects.
- Collaborate with Production Managers to maximize equipment availability.
- Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and participate in the Major Incident Investigation (MII) process.
Performance Indicators
- Efficient identification and resolution of equipment failures.
- Improved equipment reliability and performance.

- Accurate maintenance of spare stock transactions and adherence to stock level parameters.
Automation
- Oversee and optimise Lisec machinery automation with a strong focus on AutoFab integration and performance.
- Conduct detailed diagnostics, troubleshooting, and custom automation enhancements on multiple Lisec machines integrated through AutoFab.
- Provide in-depth training on both Lisec machinery and AutoFab systems to enhance team knowledge and operational capability.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with Lisec machinery, with a strong emphasis on Automation and AutoFab systems, and 5+ years in the glass industry.
- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoFab platforms, including configuring automated workflows, quality control processes, and data integration with Lisec machinery.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, sensor integration, and other relevant automation technologies.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with IT/Networking, SAP, or MEX systems.
