About the Role
In this diverse role, you will apply relevant fire safety codes and regulations by assessing and inspecting new, proposed, and existing buildings (Classes 2 – 9) to ensure compliance with structural fire safety standards.
In this role, you are expected to contribute to the development of new buildings by inspecting, testing, and reviewing essential fire safety equipment. Your work will ensure compliance with structural fire safety legislation, standards, and operational requirements. Additionally, you will advise and assist stakeholders, further enhancing the safety of new and existing buildings.
This unique role allows you to progress your career through the department's Built Environment Building Career Pathways Development Program. You will start at the introductory level or higher, depending on your experience (salary range: $81,719 to $139,958). If you are found suitable in the pool, this assessment will be completed.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in an on-call roster (with additional remuneration and overtime subject to approval) to meet the operational requirements of the department.

Eligibility To Apply
