Our company is looking for a qualified Automotive Mechanic to join our market-leading vehicle service industry!
About the role
As an Automotive Mechanic you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance on new and used vehicles
- Performing preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Diagnosing and resolving faults to ensure vehicles meet dealer warranty standards (including dismantling, reconstruction, or replacement of faulty components)
- Completing job cards, logbooks, and other basic paperwork
- Providing expert advice to customers on vehicle condition
- Supporting and educating tyre fitters on mechanical repairs
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturday work.About you
We are looking for someone with strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone. The ideal candidate will be a fast worker with strong diagnostic abilities and a professional approach to their work.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Trade Certificate in Automotive Mechanical
- Your own set of tools
- Valid C class driver's licence
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
- A professional attitude towards paperwork and documentation
