Our company is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Manufacturing Estimator to join our dynamic team! This full-time position will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with two other estimators. Role and Responsibility:
- Must have an attention to detail and take pride in their work along with a good work ethic
- Must be hard working, effective and diligent
- Have good time management and communication skills
- Be keen and willing to learn all aspects of this industry
- Be honest, reliable, punctual and hold a current drivers licence
- Be a self-motivated team player with room for growth within the Company
- Be able to provide accurate estimates and quotations for projects as required
- Obtain accurate quotes from suppliers and contractors
- Be able to provide cost breakdowns of labour and materials
- Preparing quotes and estimates in a professional manner
- Closely follow the progress of jobs, capture and document any variations
- Monitor and ensure that all internal material price lists are up to date
- Understanding terms and conditions for contracts
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in both Word and Excel
- Thorough understanding of modern-day cabinet construction and finishes
- Design and sketch componentry detail for outsourcing
- Previous industry experience in this senior role
- Excellent communications skills, able to clearly articulate both verbally and in writing
- Good knowledge of industry products and materials
- Ability to multitask and accurately resume jobs that have been on hold
- Attention to detail and an agile mindset
- Problem solving skills
