Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the skilled and qualified Plant Mechanic will be responsible for assisting with the busy workload in our CRW (Component Rebuild Workshop) and BCP Service center (Building and Construction Products). As a Plant Mechanic you will work on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment, performing a variety of tasks. These can include assembly or reassembly of components, dealer provided option installations, maintenance and build ups to customers specification ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build.
Location: Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday 10hrs
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Dogging and Forklift tickets are advantageous or willing to obtain
- Caterpillar Dealership experience is desirable
- Experience in component rebuilding is highly advantageous and will guide to success within this role
- Diagnosing and fault finding skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
