Their Modern Kalgoorlie Workshops have an opportunity for an experienced Truck Technician to join their fast-paced, highly productive team.
As a qualified HGV / Truck Mechanic you will be responsible for assessing, servicing and repairing our client’s customer’s vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards, while operating in a safe work environment.
The succesful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively within a service team, be proactive and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis and an immediate start is available for the right candidate if a local hire, or we welcome applications from Overseas Candidates looking to come to Australia on a Sponsored Visa (TSS 482)
About you:
• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III or International equivalent)
• Experience repairing and servicing heavy commercial vehicles(HGV / Highway Truck)
• Ideally a background with Volvo, MACK or Scania
• Computer diagnostic investigation experience would be advantageous, however not essential
• Enjoy working in a large team
• Flexible and open to alternate shifts as required
• Enjoy working with process and policy
• A solid understanding of safe working practices in the workshop environment.

482 Visa (TSS) Sponsorship
Whilst our client’s preference would be to hire either locally based Australian or New Zealand Citizens, or those International Candidates already holding a Permanent Residency Visa, our client additionally is a registered sponsor of International Workers under the 482 Visa Program.
If you would like to be considered under a 482 Sponsorship you will require the following under Department of Home Affairs Immigration Requirements: –
- Hold a Recognised International Trade Qualification in Mechanics (Red Seal, City and Guilds, FETAC etc)
- To Hold, or be able to pass a Cert III Trade Assessment (Vetassess or other recognised body) for the Visa application if a Citizen of a country required to pass it.
- Hold an IELTS English Test Certificate (5.0 Minimum in all 4 sections), or be a citizen of UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealand, or proff that you have been taught in English for 5 years at secondary or tertiary educational level.
- Be in a financial position to support your application, and associated costs
- Be able to move to Australia as soon as your Visa is granted (preferred)
