These prestigious roles are ideal for accomplished leaders ready to make a significant difference. In these roles you will be responsible for:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and innovative curriculum design in nursing and inter-professional education. Lead curriculum development, with a student-centred approach with flexible, blended, and online learning options.
- Leverage emerging learning technologies to enhance the student experience.
- Contribute to the Faculty's research profile through impactful publications, grant success, and collaborative research activities.
- Build partnerships with health professionals, research institutions, government, and community organizations, and engage in service initiatives that support staff and university development.
- Represent the Faculty and University through active participation in boards, meetings, and initiatives.
- Provide leadership in nursing education, research, and policy development, while achieving recognition as a national and international authority in nursing.
About you
This opportunity is suited to a visionary nursing academic who is ready to make a lasting impact on education and research excellence. To thrive in this role, you will possess:
- Essential Credentials: A PhD in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
- Academic Leadership: A proven ability to lead and inspire innovation in teaching, research, and accreditation processes, with a strong track record of teaching excellence and curriculum development.
- Research Distinction: An established national and international research reputation, demonstrated through publications, competitive grant success, and PhD supervision.
- University Experience: Evidence of active teaching in a university setting, including recent teaching sessions within the past two years.
Salary and benefits

- Full-time/continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Generous relocation support available.
- Academic Level D (Associate Professor Nursing Role). The base salary ranges from $161,784 - $177,948 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $208,199.16.
- Academic Level E (Professor Nursing Role). The base is $207,573 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $242,860.41.
The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
This opportunity is open to Australian and international applicants. If the successful candidate requires visa sponsorship, the University will work with the appointee to support visa and travel requirements.
