About the Role:
As a Sushi Chef with us, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and delicious sushi dishes that showcase the freshest ingredients and traditional techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure the highest level of food quality, freshness, and consistency.
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members in sushi preparation techniques.
Requirements:
- Complete a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of sushi ingredients, techniques, and traditions.
- Have good communication skills and attitude, familiar with teamwork.
