Job Summary:
The overall purpose of this position is to provide CNC solutions to the new and current products processed on Flat Bed Laser, Tube Laser Machines, CNC Press break, CNC Turret and Welding Robot. This includes understanding the process flow of production and time management. CNC Machinist will work closely with the engineering and production team while programming, utilizing, and maintaining the machines on the work floor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Main Duties
- CNC programming using CAM software such as cncKad, Autonest, Radtube
- Design using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Understand, track, and communicate facility CNC capabilities and optimization
- Ability to produce both large and small machined parts using CNC machines
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Study drawings, manuals, specifications, and instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of machined parts, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicator
- Ability to identify the defects in the cutting/ bending quality of the parts and adjust the parameters, tooling, and consumables as required.
- Assist and perform preventative maintenance work on all CNC machines.
- Implement training programs for new and current CNC operators.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience in CAD software modeling, AutoCAD, Solidworks, cncKad, Autonest
- Ability to read, write and troubleshoot G-Code
- Knowledge of Fiber Laser Cutting material, cutting gasses, and Fiber Laser consumables and spare parts
Education and Experience
- 4+ years of experience in a CAD/Drafting capacity preferred
- AutoNest, Radtube Knowledge: 1 years (Preferred)
- Ability to read and write G-Code (Required)
- CAD/CAM Knowledge: 3 years (Required)
- Diploma/Certificate level in CNC Machining and Programing or related field (Required)
Salary ranges: $70K - 80K annually
