We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse
Position Profile:
As part of the multidisciplinary team within peri-operative services, the primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse (CN) is to manage, co-ordinate and deliver advanced peri-operative nursing care to patients and families within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse, using leadership, advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to Operating theatre setting. The Clinical Nurse is a valued clinical resource for all staff as well as to provide clinical supervision of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and students.
What we are looking for:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience specific to peri-operative unit - Scrub & Scout, Anaesthetic nursing, and post-anaesthesia care unit.
- Advanced skills in planning, coordination and decision making, within the peri-operative setting.
- Well-developed team leadership and membership skills.
- High level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Quality and risk management principles within practice.
- Digital capability to enable access and use of available technology for safe patient care and information availability.
- Ability to work as part of the on-call roster as required.
