Join our dynamic Engineering Department as a Technical Writer, reporting directly to the Product Engineering Manager.
In this role, the successful individual will spearhead the development of clear, concise, and legally compliant technical documentation, both for internal and external use. Responsibilities include crafting customer-facing materials such as marketing collateral, operational guides, and support documentation to ensure customers have access to accurate and helpful information.
With the responsibility of the internal knowledge repository, the individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining documentation records in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS) and Document Management System (DMS).
Location: South Guildford, WA
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days
To be successful the following is required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with post-qualification experience; OR significant industry experience
- Previous experience in the field of technical writing/technical illustration
- Strong command of written English and technical writing ability
- Demonstration of high-quality document production
- Strong written and oral communication and time management skills
- Aptitude for generating polished and professional technical documentation
- Qualification in professional writing or illustration would be advantageous
- Trade certifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are highly desirable
- Proficiency in analysing and interpreting engineering documentation, including technical drawings
- Familiarity with hardware and software requirements pertinent to technical writing
- Previous experience in the domain of mining machinery is beneficial
- Knowledge of Engineering CAD software is an added advantage
