The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated chef to contribute to our kitchen operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with stock control, ordering and kitchen inventory management.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required.
Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to enhance menu offerings and contribute creative ideas.
Uphold kitchen cleanliness and organisational standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Formal qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent international qualification).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a commercial kitchen.
Skills: Strong cooking techniques, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment alongside a collaborative team.
Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of HACCP and Australian food safety regulations.
Leadership: Experience in supervising or mentoring kitchen staff is highly regarded.
