Main duties and responsibilities are:
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues using computers, diagnostic tools and test-drives.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as engine tune up, oil changes, brake repairs, and fluid checks, as well as fixing more complex mechanical problems.
- Repairing, replacing or reassemble engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering and other key vehicle components.
- Replacing damaged or worn-out parts, such as tyres, batteries, and belts.
- Testing repaired vehicles to ensure they function properly, including checking for proper alignment, brakes, and fluid levels.
- Ensuring vehicles meet safety standards, pollution standards and regulations through proper maintenance and repairs.
- Perform logbook services, issue road worthy slips and explain vehicle issues, repairs, and maintenance needs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintaining detailed records of services performed, parts used, and vehicle history for future reference.
- Regularly maintaining and calibrating tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Staying current with new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
We're Looking For:
- A qualified Motor Mechanic with a Trade Certificate or equivalent.
- A current Australian Driver's License.
- Proven experience in vehicle service and maintenance.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
- at least 1 year of mechanic experience.
