The Role
This is a great opportunity to join the well-established team. We are looking for a leader who can bring their maturity and management experience to the Sous Chef position. You will work closely with the head chef and learn the fundamentals of working and what it takes to be successful in one of our busiest venues.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience in premium restaurants, hotels or brasseries.
- A passion for classic French cuisine and cooking techniques using seasonal produce.
- Work with the head chef and exec chef on creative direction and elevating the food offering.
- The ability to lead and run a kitchen with great communication and collaboration skills.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the front of house teams and suppliers.
- Experience working in a busy service and managing larger kitchen teams of 20+ chefs.
- Driven, motivated and engaged in people and fostering a supportive and professional environment.
- A clear understanding of kitchen financials, WH&S and allergens.
- Confident working at a senior level and happy to still be hands on in the kitchen.
