We are currently looking for someone to join our highly skilled team of dental technicians.
JOB TITLE: Dental Technician OSCA 311232
JOB TYPE: Full time contract for 2 years with possibility to extent/renew
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Report to lab manager or head technician and carry out all tasks required
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Constructing mouth guards, crowns, metal clasps, inlays, bridgework and other aids
- Fabrication of single unit to multi unit Emax or Zirconia crowns and veneers
- Fabricating full and partial dentures (if required)
- Repairing and relining denture bases (if required)
- Coordinate and carry out some office administration including reception, couriers, greeting clients and shade taking.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Other tasks as directed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or equivalent
- First aid certificate (Not essential)
Experience:
- Dental Technician Qualification or 5+ years lab experience
- Extensive knowledge in CAD/CAM design or willingness to learn 3 shape
- CAD design and mill experience – single units, multiple unit digital wax ups and implant crown design
- Capable of producing a high quality crown and bridge work daily
- Stain and glaze crown and bridge
- Ability to finish large cosmetic cases in short turnarounds
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Familiar with 3D printers and milling machines (Asiga printers and Pm7)
- Ability to work to short time frames and produce quality work
- Be an Australian citizen or have a valid Australian visa with work rights is an advantage, Visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate
Skills:
- Construct and repair crown and bridge, dentures and other dental appliances.
- Dental Laboratory experience with crown and bridge
- Excellent hands on skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a new working environment
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Have a positive attitude and happy to learn new techniques
