About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fitter to work within our Fabrication and Rigging Team, responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining structural steel components, rigging equipment, and plant machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our projects.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Fit and assemble metal components for structural steel and rigging applications
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on plant and rigging equipment
- Perform precision measuring, cutting, welding, and grinding as required
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Work closely with riggers, welders, and project teams to ensure high-quality work
- Maintain compliance with WHS regulations and company policies
About You
- Trade Qualification in Fitting & Machining, Engineering (Fabrication), or related field
- Experience in structural steel, fabrication, or rigging environments
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, welding, and machining equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of WHS requirements and ability to work safely at heights
- Dogging/Rigging tickets (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
