We are looking for an experienced Technician/Mechanic for immediate start in busy workshop in Alice Springs.We have been servicing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles in Alice Springs since 1981, from forklifts, trucks, 4WD, backhoes to the family car. Giving our technicians a variety of challenges. We also offer tyre service, hydraulic hose manufacture and air conditioning repairs.

To provide high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the mechanical condition of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components, including the engine, transmission, and suspension systems, ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
2. Expert Advice and Guidance
- Provide expert advice to customers regarding vehicle maintenance and repair options.
- Offer guidance and training to apprentice service technicians, fostering their development and skills.
3. Safety and Tool Management
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment by ensuring proper use and maintenance of tools and specialized equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to promote a culture of safety within the team.
4. Record Keeping
- Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor hours for billing and warranty purposes, ensuring compliance with company standards.
5. Team Collaboration
- Contribute positively to team dynamics and spirit, supporting fellow team members and collaborating on projects as necessary.
- Demonstrate behaviors that align with company values and promote a positive workplace culture.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance service quality.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the industry.
Requirements:
- Australian Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in automotive repair.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Previous dealership experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
