our company is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join our team. Sponsorship is available for eligible applicants. Situated on Western Australia’s stunning Coral Coast and established in 1867, our property has expanded over the years to include a 28-room motel, restaurant, café, and alfresco bar. We are a popular choice for both travelers and locals, offering fantastic meals and comfortable accommodation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in leading a proactive, high-performing kitchen team
- Ensure dishes meet quality standards and are served promptly
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of seasonal dishes using fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients
- Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence
- Contribute to menu changes, development, and costing
- Monitor and manage stock rotation while minimizing wastage
- Mentor and train kitchen staff
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years’ experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen (Sous Chef or similar leadership experience preferred)
- Full-time availability with flexibility for typical hospitality hours
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Diploma in Hospitality and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
