Reporting into Technical Product Specialist Supervisor, the Technical Product Specialist will join our Technology Department on a Fulltime basis at our [Anderson Place Branch at out Perth Precinct.
This role involves extensive knowledge of both onboard and office aspects of the MineStar Command for Hauling, Fleet and Terrain products, which includes aspects of the MineStar Controller & Builder roles. Potential candidates with the right skillset that have experience in areas of design and maintenance of IT networks and databases, that includes sound knowledge in areas of database queries and controller builder design for database dependencies and/or software development will be provided training opportunities to develop the required skillset. The successful individual will be flexible, highly professional, and focused on working in partnership with all teams in the technology division, as well as actively contributing to the development of technical documentation, product training, advanced analysis and resolution of technology related issues.
Roster: Monday - Friday, 8.5 Hours per day (including meal break)
What You’ll Do:
- Provide high level specialist support and services to customers on a range of Caterpillar technology products such as MineStar office
- Troubleshoot integrated systems ranging from basic machine sensors to advanced onboard control units, displays, network diagnosis, application servers, and database issues.
- Providing development and support to the Autonomous Training Facility located in Collie
- Consult with all stakeholders through identification and scoping of technical compatibilities and requirements of the MineStar products to ensure successful upgrades and new deployments for customers mine sites
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role and environment
- Experience as a controller or builder with Fleet or AHS sites and Microsoft Active directory.
- Advanced knowledge of the MineStar office environment
- Knowledge of VM environments and virtualisation
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot, ideally in a support environment
