Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in our workshop. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent technical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, your duties will include stripping car parts when required, ensuring components are ready for repair or recycling.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose & Repair:
Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues using both manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
Repair or replace malfunctioning parts to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tune-ups, fluid replacements).
Strip car parts when necessary to facilitate repair or refurbishment.
Record Keeping & Safety:
Maintain detailed work logs and service records.
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Adhere to safety protocols and work practices at all times.
Customer Service:
Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair options.
Provide accurate estimates for repair work and timelines for service completion.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a motor mechanic or auto mechanic.
- Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Relevant certification or vocational training is preferred.
Will accept applicants with Working Visa's (Must already be living in Australia and have a min 6 months left of visa)
