As the Cake Maker/Decorator, you will be responsible for designing, decorating, and finishing cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods according to customer requests and business standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Bake and decorate a variety of cakes, cupcakes, and other pastries to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Develop innovative cake designs and flavour combinations to meet client specifications
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure seamless delivery of catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
What We're Looking For
- Experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a related field
- Certificate III in Cake and Pastry
- Excellent communication skills, time and resource management
- Strong attention to details and the ability to produce high quality consistent food products
- Strong artistic and creative skill
- Attention to detail and precision
- Knowledge of different types of icings, fondants, and decorating tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge (e.g., food handling certification)
- Must have a better understanding of current trends
