About the Role
As a Flash Butt Welder, Electrician, or Mechanic, you will be responsible for contributing to large-scale projects across the state, working with a flash butt machines including Vaia Car Cube / K355, Doosan DX170W and Progress Rail K930 Flash Butt Welder.
For Flash Butt Welders:
- Operate and maintain flash butt welding machinery to weld rail joints safely and efficiently.
- Work on Vaia Car Cube / K355, Doosan DX170W, and Progress Rail K930 Flash Butt Welder machines.
- Conduct pre and post-welding inspections to ensure welding quality meets standards.
- Collaborate closely with other team members, supervisors, and site managers to meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
For Electricians:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in rail infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with project teams to integrate electrical systems into railway projects.
For Mechanics:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on rail machinery and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with welders and electricians to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
About You
- An International Flash Butt Welder, Electrician or Mechanic seeking to move to Australia
- Seeking to become a permanent resident in Australia
- Must have experience working with a flash butt machines including Vaia Car Cube / K355, Doosan DX170W and Progress Rail K930 Flash Butt Welder.
- Proven experience as a Flash Butt Welder, Electrician or Mechanic preferably in a rail environment.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites within Western Australia.
- Trade Certified Flash butt welder (Australian recognition can be arranged)
