About the opportunities
Join our team at our hospital for Women - a specialist tertiary level public hospital in Melbourne. We provide care for women with some of the most complex pregnancies in Victoria. You will care for women with high risk pregnancies and also a variety of normal birth models including homebirth. Our hospital is a state of the art facility with one of only 5 neonatal intensive care units in Victoria and an advancing gynaecology/oncology and urogynaecology service.
Our hospital is located in the leafy suburb of Heidelberg, 18 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District and conveniently directly opposite Heidelberg Train Station.
We currently have a variety of positions available and would love to hear from you!
Registered Nurse positions available in perioperative services, neonatal intensive care unit, specialist gynaecology and general gynaecology units
Registered Midwife positions available in midwifery continuity of care models, homebirth, postnatal / antenatal units, birthing suite, emergency department
Option for Full Time or Part Time
Permanent and fixed term positions available
Visa sponsorship available for successful applicants, if required
Salary as per the Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement (base hourly rate AUD $36.10 - $48.27 plus allowances) with proposed future improved conditions under this Agreement
What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you must also have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or
- Current Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand or Midwifery Council of New Zealand, and eligibility for Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience according to area of expertise based on completion of a graduate year in Nursing or Midwifery is preferable. A commitment to women and neonatal centred care
- Ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team, and a diverse patient populationYou will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
