Experienced Jeweller Wanted for Leading Australian Engagement Ring Specialist

Our company, one of Australia’s premier engagement ring retailers, is seeking a talented jeweller to join our Melbourne team. Role Responsibilities:
- Setting diamonds and colored stones using various techniques, including pave, cutdown, bright cut, fancy prong, bead, channel, and burnishing
- Performing ring resizing and minor repairs
- Working alongside jewellers and CAD designers on stone arrangement and metal layouts for new designs
- Offering technical advice on setting techniques for larger volume production
- Conducting 100% inspection of mountings pre-setting and quality assessment post-setting
- Accurately recording daily production results, ensuring work order accuracy, reconciling stones used, and reporting discrepancies
- Assisting in the training and development of emerging jewellers in the team
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience as a jeweller, with a formal qualification preferred if less experience
- Proficiency in all setting techniques, including the ability to assess space requirements for pave or beading settings and layout stones accurately
- Knowledge of precious metals, diamonds, and colored stones
- Ability to recommend and design metal and stone combinations to reduce breakage and loss
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Excellent organizational and collaboration abilities, adaptable to changing priorities
- Hands-on experience in setting troubleshooting and repairs
