Casual rate, full-time position, working Monday to Friday with overtime available.

About the role
This role is perfect for someone with a solid background in coating processes in the textiles industry, moving into a supervisory role. You will be a fast learner who has leadership potential, is adaptable and has a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

Your typical day will include:
- Preparation of coating slurries, setting up and operating coating equipment, and ensure quality control of finished products and preparation of materials and surfaces for coating application
- Operating auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating processes
- Maintaining equipment, performing regular checks and troubleshoot issues that arise during the coating process
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Monitoring performance of production employees
- Participating in planning to achieve production levels and operational schedules
- Providing timely technical advice and assistance to Converting Manager
About you
You will bring to the role:
- Completion of VCE / HSC, with Diploma Qualifications and or experience with textile chemistry/technology
- Experience as a Coating Operator or similar role in manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in dyeing and/or finishing of textile fabrics and colour matching
- A commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
- Track record of being reliable and punctual and an eye for detail
