Our company is a well-established Agricultural dealer specialising in new and second-hand agricultural machinery with dealerships located in the Wheat Belt and Midwest Region of Western Australia. Due to recent changes within the business we are looking for an agricultural experienced individual to join our team as a Precision Farming Specialist.
About the Role
As a Precision Farming Specialist you will be at the forefront of implementing advanced precision farming solutions that enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. You will work closely with farmers and agricultural stakeholders to install, service, and maintain cutting-edge technologies that optimise crop yield, improve resource efficiency, and minimise environmental impact.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that their clients maximise the benefits of precision agriculture by effectively utilising systems such as GPS-guided equipment, remote sensing devices, and data management tools. This position requires a passion for agriculture and technology, as well as a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
You will also be responsible for training farmers and staff in the use of precision farming technologies, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and collaborating with their teams to continually improve the installation processes. Responsibilities
- Install precision farming equipment and systems according to technical specifications and client needs
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure optimal performance
- Train clients and staff in the operation and benefits of precision farming technologies
- Collaborate with farmers to develop customised precision farming strategies
- Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of service activities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in precision agriculture technology
- Work closely with the sales teams and OEM’s to address customer feedback and improve service quality
About the Candidate
Ideally our company would like to secure a time served Agricultural Service Technician or Sales Professional with the following preferred skillset that resides in, or is prepared to relocate to, the Moora area:
- Trade or extensive sales experience in the agricultural or related field
- Experience in agricultural technology installation or maintenance
- Strong technical skills with a background in electronics or mechanics
- Excellent communication and training skills to engage with all stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various field conditions
- Familiarity with GPS technology and precision farming software
- Willingness to travel to client locations, dealerships and industry events as needed - sometimes requiring overnight stays
- Valid WA driver’s license
Remuneration
A highly competitive package is available, which will include the base hourly rate and superannuation. Commissions, bonuses, assistance with relocation / housing, visa sponsorship, a vehicle and other tools may also be available for the right candidate.
