Located near the CBD in Flemington, our Italia Restaurant that is now looking for a qualified Chef with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in Italian cuisine. This is a full-time position, and the candidate will be expected to undertake the following duties to meet operational requirements:
Position requirements:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- May select and train staff
- May freeze and preserve foods
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.

- Be available to workdays, nights and weekends and have your own reliable transport.
