Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will assist in the rebuilding and repair of various Powertrain components. Your role will be disassembly, inspection and assembling of Caterpillar components including but not limited to transmissions, final drives and other major components.
Location: South Guildford
Roster: Monday to Friday, 2 Weeks Day Shift, 2 Weeks Night Shift Roster (10.50 hours per day)
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Light Vehicle Mechanics, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Bus and Truck Mechanics)
- Dogging and Forklift tickets are advantageous or willing to obtain
- Caterpillar Dealership experience is desirable
- Experience in component rebuilding is highly advantageous and will guide to success within this role
- Diagnosing and fault finding skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
