We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist with CNC experience to operate a range of lathes and milling machines.
The Role
The primary focus of the role is to effectively operate CNC & Manual type machines in a “jobbing” type workshop. Machining of various types of components related to mobile mining equipment, underground equipment and various other industries.
Requirements
Role requirements
- Able to complete precision type work as per trade requirements
- Proven jobbing type work experience
- Program and operate various CNC machines desirable
- Experience using Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazak controllers
- Competently operate manual type lathes
- Able to complete work in an efficient manner
- Accurately fill out job documentation as per QA requirements
- Demonstrate personal responsibility in maintaining safety, quality, and environmental practices
- Display consistent values and behaviours
- Effectively interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining requirements
- Good communication skills
