The position is full-time, with opportunities to grow within the company.
Duties:
- Assist with various carpentry activities on residential and commercial construction projects.
- Work closely with the Leading Hand and other carpenters to carry out tasks such as framing, roofing, siding, and finishing work.
- Learn to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry tasks under supervision.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of tools and equipment for the project.
- Help ensure work is completed to a high standard, in line with project specifications and timelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Assist with site inspections to identify hazards and maintain cleanliness.
- Learn from more experienced carpenters, participating in training and gaining new skills to progress in the trade.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other tradespeople on site.
- Assist with maintaining tools and materials, ensuring efficient use and delivery on time.
