About the Role:
As the Lead Clinician, you'll provide clinical leadership, conduct psychiatric assessments, deliver crisis interventions, and coordinate recovery plans. You'll also mentor junior staff and collaborate with families, carers, and community agencies to ensure holistic, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mental health assessments, crisis interventions, and care planning in various settings.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff.
- Manage the triage service and ensure timely mental health support.
- Develop recovery plans focused on long-term well-being and family/community involvement.
- Facilitate transitions through the APARC step-up, step-down program.
What You Will Bring:
- A strong passion for mental health and helping those in crisis.
- Relevant qualifications in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Occupational Therapy, plus postgraduate qualifications in mental health.
- At least 3 years of experience in mental health services.
- Leadership skills to mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
- A solid understanding of the Mental Health Act 2014.
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- A current driver's license
