The Company
Our firm offers a broad range of solutions for underperforming businesses and their partners comprise of experienced Liquidators and Trustees who are well respected in the industry. Due to anticipated work in the pipeline we are recruiting an Insolvency Accountant with 2-5 years corporate insolvency experience.
The Role
We are looking for a career minded Accountant to join our team. Duties include:
- day to day file management of insolvency appointments (CVLs, court liquidations, VAs, receiverships, small business restructuring, bankruptcy etc)
- attending sites to inspect, collect and record assets, as well as books and records
- liaising with directors, employees, creditors and other stakeholders (financiers, valuers, auctioneers, lawyers, ATO etc)
- collection and investigation into company books & records
- manage sale of assets and/or sale of business
- manage ongoing trading of business
- investigations into insolvent trading, voidable transactions and offences committed by officers
- preparation of s533 report and other statutory reports to ASIC
Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years insolvency accounting experience
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law or related
- Part way or completed the CA or CPA program
