· Lead and coach junior kitchen staff and give clear instruction to them
· Plan and evaluate menu and estimate food cost by assisting the Head Chef
· Report to the Head Chef
· Be responsible for fulfilling all the obligations regarding safety and the occupational health and safety requirements
· Order and maintain all the inventories required for food production
· Complete duties ensuring the quality of menu items with regard to raw materials, cooking process, portion control and presentation
· Handle, store, and rotate all food items ensuring quality and maintain an efficient store
· Examine food to ensure quality, prepare food for different periods
· Defrost, store, prepare correctly as per food item in accordance with instructions and adhere to safe food handling practice
· Prepare, cook, season the dishes by applying a range of methods and techniques
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
