➢ Read drawings in order to assemble parts in a fixture
➢ Produce welds in all positions and using tooling provided to produce high-quality
weldments
➢ Follow the instructions of the supervisor to complete given tasks in preparation,
tacking, and welding
➢ Use other hand power tools such as angle grinders, drills, die grinders, and oxy
acetylene torch as required to complete tasks
➢ Detect minor defects in the parts being used or the completed component as well as
minor defects in weld quality
➢ Ensure that equipment being used on regularly is in good working order.

I have worked in the mining sector for the last 10 years. I have vast experience in mining maintenance as a boilermaker/welder.
I know a lot about G.E.T because I used to work with that too.
I know work in Canada as a MIG specialist at Bourgault Industries in Saskatchewan.

About
Carry out breakdown maintenance task as per the supervisor’s directions using welding with
the use of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW),
and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
➢ Prepare materials for welding by cleaning them- filling
➢ Ability to read welding Blueprints.
➢ Gouging worn-out materials using Air Arc Gouging process.
➢ Preparing and welding Hardox VRN450 16mm/20mm plates for installation in the
Dump Body for Komatsu (960E, 860E, HD1500).
➢ Welding cracks in Komatsu Dump Trucks chassis using the four types of welding
positions:
1. Flat Position (1G)
2. Horizontal Position (2G)
3. Vertical Position (3G)
4. Overhead Position
