Seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager
The establishment boasts a lively pub atmosphere with sensational food. This role requires a confident and enthusiastic leader with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in line with RSA standards, excellent training and coaching abilities, extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages and the bar, and the capability to run the venue when required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the smooth running of daily operations including customer complaints, delegation of roles, maintenance and solving day-to-day problems.
- Bar Maintenance and Improvement: Overseeing and collaborating with the bar manager to ensure high quality drink service. Understanding current market trends for alcoholic beverages and establishing strategic plans for sales improvement.
- Compliance Management: Ensure strict adherence to RSA regulations and compliance standards.
- Training and Coaching: Train and mentor staff to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards.
- Customer Service: Foster a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring patrons have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
- Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximise revenue generation opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of dedicated professionals to achieve operational excellence.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the management regarding venue performance and customer feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements within the pub/restaurant industry.
- Strong bar and alcohol knowledge.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to train and coach staff effectively.
- Experience in managing bars and bistros.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Must have valid RSA
