RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY-Clinical Nurse Consultant – Renal Services
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team in a satellite Renal Unit. Working in partnership with Consultant Nephrologists, Nurse Unit Manager, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care and patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical consultancy across all aspects of renal replacement therapies and act as a role model and expert clinician.
- Assess, select, implement, and evaluate clinical interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Lead and coordinate clinical activities, working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager, to support hemodialysis and home therapy nurses.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based clinical guidelines that align with the care goals of renal patients.
- Foster a learning environment through coaching approaches to patient education, team development, and providing training to nursing and medical students.
- Collaborate closely with the renal team, including nurses, consultants, social workers, and allied health, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and management.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse with advanced competence in renal nursing, management, and coordination to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Proven knowledge of legal and ethical requirements, policies, and procedures in a clinical setting, with experience in developing policies and protocols in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, along with mediation, conflict resolution, and the ability to educate and influence health professionals and patients.
- Well-developed leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and address complex clinical, service, and health system issues.
