We specialise in ship design and construction for a range of vessels from fishing boats to passenger vessels and work boats.
To keep up with a growing pipeline of projects covering a diverse range of vessels from steel displacement hulls to high speed aluminium vessels, we are looking for an experienced Naval Architect, Mechanical Engineer or Marine Designer. This is an ongoing full time position with immediate start. The successful applicant will join our design office and help with the design, construction and delivery of our new vessels as well as the day to day management of general consultancy projects.
This position will involve:
- Engineering calculations (naval architectural, structural, mechanical)
- Designing and drafting using 2D and 3D Cad software
- Providing technical support and general consultancy advice
- Interfacing with and managing various stakeholders including clients, authorities, contractors, suppliers
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in naval architectural and engineering calculations
- Proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D Cad software
- Knowledge of regulatory rules & regulations
- Experience in project management with excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional team member with a “can do” attitude
- High levels of flexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities and challenges
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Self-motivation with high level of commitment and initiative
This is a salary position with a performance bonus scheme. Both salary and bonus will be negotiated based on experience.
