Ensure the reconditioning process is supported by accurate and effective cosmetic paint repair solutions, collaborating with the paint and panel team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets, while maintaining high standards of quality and continuously seeking improvements in efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce high-quality paint and repair solutions using the most cost-effective methods.
- Provide the manager with accurate job timings and material estimates.
- Prepare vehicles for the painting process, including tasks such as masking, filling, and color matching.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop apprentices.
- Assist in vehicle preparation and repair when necessary, ensuring the paint-related aspects of the reconditioning process meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Work closely with the team to ensure that the reconditioning process operates efficiently and foster a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with the team and provide assistance when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the workshop is always presentable and well-maintained, creating an environment you can proudly showcase to customers.
- Demonstrate a passion for problem-solving and continuously identify and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and improve processes.
- Candidate must be comfortable performing the majority of the work with painting (spraying), while other team members handle stripping, fitting, prepping, and color matching.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 years of experience as a spray painter in a panel shop, with a current NSW tradesperson certificate and relevant paint qualification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adjust priorities as needed.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
- Skilled in working within time constraints while ensuring quality remains top-notch.
- A positive ambassador for the brand, representing it with professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both within the team and across the organization.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
- Valid NSW driver’s license.
