About the role:
We currently have an opportunity for a FIFO Senior Project Engineer to join our project team working on a 2/1 roster.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the scope of works includes the construction of complex concrete and formwork structures as well as associated Civil works.
Working as part of a small Engineering team on site, as the Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:
- Interpreting specifications, drawings and plans, construction methods and procedures
- Manage and mentor other Project Engineers and Site Engineers
- Lead engineering support to the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Superintendents and supervisors
- Comprehensively understand the FRP scope of work, specifications, work plans and drawings
- Develop detailed work programs for allocated work packages
- Manage scope of work and ensure compliance
- Identify variations in work packages and submit list for review
- Develop margin improvement strategies in conjunction with the site project team
- Prepare and review internal ITPs, forms & checklists for approval by Client
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar
- Demonstrated experience working in a FIFO or DIDO capacity preferred
- Large Australian FRP / Concrete structures construction project experience are a MUST
- Experience working for a Civil Contractor
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring small project teams
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
