We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Laboratory Technician to join our team in Beenleigh, Queensland.
Position Overview:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of our herbal products. This full-time role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a balance between on-site laboratory work and remote tasks. You will be responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and supporting the R&D team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and deliver innovative herbal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished herbal products.
- Prepare, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all testing procedures and results.
- Assist with research and development of new products, including sample preparation and experimental testing.
- Conduct stability testing and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
- Prepare chemical reagents and handle sample preparation in compliance with safety standards.
- Support the quality assurance team in investigating product deviations or non-conformances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant Australian regulatory requirements (e.g., TGA, FSANZ).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality control departments.
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights for improving laboratory processes and methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, ideally within the herbal, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, including chromatography, spectrometry, and microbiological analysis.
- Familiarity with GLP, TGA regulations, and relevant Australian standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using laboratory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document procedures accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with herbal or natural products is an advantage.
